Logia Magdalo is the mole in the History of Philippine Masonry.
In 1914, Kawit Francmasons of Logia Pilar 203 of Imus formed a Lodge U.D. and named it Magdalo. The symbolic name of Emilio Aguinaldo in the Katipunan. Logia Magdalo was later granted charter by Grande Oriente Espanol and designated with the No. 371. The Lodge was once located at the home of President Emilio Aguinaldo, now the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine.
Eventually, Magdalo Lodge became part of the Grand Lodge of the Philippine Islands and designated with No. 31.
In 1928, Magdalo Lodge No. 31 was change to Ibarra Lodge No. 31 thus reason that Emilio Aguinaldo to cease lodge attendance and eventually became dormant.
Learning about this, the Supremo Consejo del Grado 33 para Filipinas to honor and continue Magdalo Lodge reestablish and organized Logia Magdalo and designated it with No. 79.
Logia Magdalo No. 79 is very much alive as it was the lodge where Hermano Emilio Aguinaldo attended Tenidas (stated meetings) from time to time while tending to his farm at Naik. Magdalo No. 79 of the Gran Logia Nacional de Filipinas under the auspices of the Supremo Consejo del Grado 33 para Filipinas.
This is our connection with the great Miong, thus in respect and honor to his declaration of independence as being a Republic so did our fundadores declared ourselves independent at the four corners of the earth as a Filipino Family of Universal Masonry.
